My Big Fat Gay Movie

Both of these movies are scheduled to be released this summer.  American movies tend to be very heteronormative with gay characters relegated to side kicks or portrayed as tragic figures (Milk, Brokebake Mountain...).  It will be nice to see two stories involving gay couples in which they are portrayed as a regular couple (admittedly I Love You Phillip Morris is not normal--it's more of a rom-com.  but the plots/characters of those aren't normal anyway) 

I Love Rock 'n Roll 'n Joan Jett

easily one of the most bad ass women of all time.

i always loved her songs (these two specifically) but with the new runaways movie coming out i can totally feel a joan jett phase coming on.

Iron Jawed Angels

we are watching this in Women's Studies. I cannot describe how much I love

it. Alice Paull was one bad ass chick.
