Overdose on the Cool

0I first saw Lupe Fiasco on the Kanye West Glow in the Dark Tour and ever since then, I've been in love with him (ok ok i'm exaggerating. but you get my drift)

What differentiates Fiasco from other rappers is his subject matter.  Instead of talking smack and encouraging his fans to "fuck bitches, get money", Lupe Fiasco raps about important issues in an extremely intelligent manner.

He thought it was cool to carry a gun in his classroom and open fire, virginia tech columbine,
Stop the violence.
They thought it was cool to tare down the projects and put up million dollar condos,
Gentrification.
They think its cool to stand on the block hiding products in their socks making quick dime bag
Dollars.
They think its cool to to ride down on you in blue and white unmarked cars, bustin you upside
Yo head.
Freeze....cause the problem is we think its cool too.

this is probably my favorite track on the whole album, because it is a really powerful piece of poetry
